The Training

Drawing, practice skin, then real skin

Before anyone touches a person, they draw, and they work practice skin until the line holds. 21 photographs from inside the classroom — shot in the working studio, not staged for a brochure.

The First Tattoo

Every student's first tattoo goes on their own thigh

Not a stranger, not a friend — themselves. It is the point in the course where practice skin stops being enough, and it is the same for everyone. Stencil, needle, healed: that run below is one student’s skull, start to finish. The rest are other first tattoos out of the same room.

How long is the tattoo course at Kamz Inkzone?

All three courses run for six months. The Advanced course adds a six-month internship at the studio afterwards, and the Elite course adds international convention tours.

How much does the tattoo course cost?

The Professional course is ₹3,50,000, Advanced is ₹4,50,000 and Elite International is ₹5,50,000. Advanced and Elite include a full professional tattoo kit.

Do I need any experience to join?

No. The Professional course starts from the fundamentals and is designed for complete beginners. Drawing ability helps but is not required.

Is a tattoo kit included?

The Advanced and Elite courses include a full pro-level kit — machines, needles, inks and all the essentials. The Professional course does not.

Do you help with a job after the course?

Yes. The Advanced course includes a six-month internship at Kamz Inkzone and a guaranteed job for students who commit to a three-year contract.

Where is the academy located?

Training is hands-on at the Kamz Inkzone studio in Model Town, Jalandhar, Punjab. There are also studios at 375-L Model Town, Jalandhar and Sector 35-C, Chandigarh.
